I'd like to introduce you to my friend, Contreras!
This is my buddy, Contreras, at my current unit : 355th Chem. Co.
Jenae Nae ... I mean Specialist Steed!
Steven and I recently attended his daughter's Quinceanera. In their culture this event is almost as big as a wedding. His daughter looked like a princess with a dress that resembled the one Cinderella wore at her ball except for it had a light blue colored sash around the waist and I don't think she was wearing glass slippers. ;) tee hee. It was very fun watching everyone dancing and socializing.
During drill weekends you can often find Contreras and I exiled away into a corner when there is very little work to be done. We are usually people watching and cracking jokes on people not present enough to defend themselves. haha. It's all in good fun and all the good jokes are repeated at least once! We laugh so hard that our stomachs hurt! It makes the stagnant time pass swiftly.
When there IS work to be done he's teaching me about Hum-V's or is assigned to another job. When we're assigned to separate jobs it's not uncommon for us to retain small, funny stories we know the other will appreciate hearing about later on. He's just like me in that I can envision things just as well as if I were there ... hence the uncontrollable laughter even though I'm absent during the essence. He's taught me there is humor in everything - we just forget to look for it.
That's all for now,
Jenae Nae ... I mean Specialist Steed!
